Historical Walloon Lake

The rich history of Walloon Lake (formerly known as Talcott Lake) along with the clear waters and proximity to towns like Petoskey and Boyne City make this a very desirable and popular lake to visit.

The lake consists of three arms, two shores and what is known as the “foot”.  Walloon Lake covers over 6 square miles, with over 30 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of just over 100 feet.

There are two restaurants, an upscale hotel and a small village at the “foot” of the lake, located in Walloon Lake Village.
