Petoskey Wine Region
There’s something for everyone visiting Northern Michigan – especially wine lovers. The Petoskey Wine Regionwas established in 2016, covering six counties with currently 14 wineries. It is also one of five federally recognized American Viticultural Areas (AVA) in Michigan, meaning that 85% of the grapes used to make the wine for this region are grown within the geographically defined area. The colder and windier season grapes grown in the region include Marquette, Frontenac, Lemberger, Tramineetand Vignoles.

Walloon Lake Winery: We love the rustic feel of this winery, and the “End of the Pike Peach” is a must-try. They also offer small bites and are kid-friendly.
Maple Moon Sugarbush & Winery: Thi is American’s first and only maple winery, which means you have to go. Their wines are fermented with the sugars in maple syrup. You’ll love the atmosphere and the wine!
Pond Hill Farm Winery: A kid-friendly atmosphere with great pizza, beer, and delicious white table wine.
Spare Key Winery: This winery is one of the few 100% estate-grown and bottled wineries in Northern Michigan.
